Tyler “Tiller” Gentry

The short version

Tyler Gentry, better known as Tiller, is a tattoo artist working out of Tattoo Guild in Waxahachie, Texas, on the south side of the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex. He tattoos under the name Tiller Tattoos and books clients from Arlington, Dallas, Fort Worth and everywhere in between.

The style

If it has big color and a big personality, Tiller wants to tattoo it. His flash book is stacked with anime and comic-inspired characters, video game nods, glowing pixel-art details, reapers, bat demons, monster books and beasts, plus a few classic traditional sheets. Expect bold outlines, saturated pinks, cyans and golds, and highlights that make a piece look like it’s lit from the inside.

The process

Tiller draws his own designs. You can grab a piece straight from his flash book or bring him an idea and let him build something one-of-one around your placement. Every booking runs through Porter, so dates, policies and pricing are clear before you ever sit in the chair.
